Day trip to Cayo Levantado. We will drive to Samana, visit the historic church founded by African American immigrants in the 1800s and then take a short boat ride the island. This island has incredible white sand and clear turquois water

Workshop: We will join political leaders to learn about “Las Terrenas: Commerce, Investment and Improvement Projects”

Panel Discussion: Local Dominicans of Haitian descent will speak about “Haitians in the Dominican Republic: Personal Reflections on the Political Reality of Race and Nation”
Day Seven
Workshop: “Education in the Dominican Republic: Improvements, Challenges and Triumphs” with local educators and student. Travelers can provide school supplies as donation
Workshop: Dance class to learn about “Traditional and Popular Dances in the Dominican Republic”
Day Eight
Free day to explore Las Terrenas. Options provided
